I’m a CTP! I am so very humbled and absolutely ecstatic to receive the honor of being selected for the Citrix Technology Professional (CTP) award. Check out the announcement on the Citrix Blog:
https://www.citrix.com/blogs/2016/02/04/welcome-ctp-class-of-2016/
The Citrix Technology Professional award is a program at Citrix that recognizes the contributions of individuals who have invested a significant amount of time and resources to become experts in Citrix products and solutions. The wealth of knowledge they have developed – and more importantly, openly shared – has proven invaluable to the Citrix technology community. These individuals have consistently demonstrated their real-world knowledge by:
- Sharing insights on web sites and contributing to online discussions (e.g. Citrix forums, Citrix Developer Network)
- Creating or fostering active communities of Citrix users (e.g. Citrix User Groups, Community Verified Citrix Compatibility)
- Publishing technical documentation, articles, or books
- Offering technical expertise in the field
- Speaking at IT conferences
There are only 50 CTPs in the world with some of the smartest minds in the industry:

These people are no less than LEGENDS. I am truly honored to be part of the CTP community and hope I can hold a candle to the level of knowledge and commitment represented by this group.
I started this website in 2008 as a way to give back to the IT community. I never thought that one day I would be receiving the CTP award and be a part of an elite group of people that I have referenced and looked up to throughout my career. One thing I’ve said in the past and think it’s appropriate now to say again, as a child I dreamt of building dinosaurs and hovercrafts with Legos. Then I grew up. And nothing has changed. Every day of my adult life I go to work and build multi-million dollar systems and its just as fun and exciting as building dinos and spaceships. I look back to when I was a child and I realize I did it. I am living the dream. I feel like the CTPs would all agree, this is what we all feel every day working with Citrix technologies. We’re all living the dream.
My fellow CTP awardees for 2016 are:
- Bas Van Kaam – @BasvanKaam
- Carl Stalhood – @cstalhood
- Sacha Thomet – @sacha81
- Tobias Kreidl – @t_kreidl
- Tom Gamull – @MagicalYak
Congratulations to all of you!
I want to thank the CTP community program managers at Citrix, Perrine V. Crampton, Brad Nunn, and Laure Cetin as well as all the current CTPs for selecting me to be part of this prestigious group! I also want to extend my gratitude to all the Citrix Support personnel, sales engineers, field engineers, TRMs, product managers, and product architects I’ve had the pleasure of working with over my career with Citrix products. Without your support and tireless hours helping me over the years I wouldn’t know half of what I know today. Hope to see you all at Citrix Synergy this year!

Jason, congratulations! I have followed your blog for years and you’ve had some great tips and insights. You should note that on the original Citrix page listing the new guys out (https://www.citrix.com/blogs/2016/02/04/welcome-ctp-class-of-2016/), they misspelled Houston. 8^0
