The Click-Down Season 3 Ep 17: Citrix DaaS for Amazon WorkSpaces Core
On The Click-Down podcast, we dug into Citrix DaaS integration with Amazon WorkSpaces Core. Season 3 Episode 17.

I joined The Click-Down podcast again for Season 3 Episode 17, this time to talk about the integration between Citrix DaaS and Amazon WorkSpaces Core. This is a combination that a lot of my customers have been asking about, especially those running AWS infrastructure who want Citrix's management and HDX protocol but don't want to manage their own EC2 instances for VDAs.

The basic idea is simple: Amazon provides the managed desktop infrastructure through WorkSpaces Core, and Citrix provides the brokering, HDX delivery, monitoring, and all the enterprise management capabilities you're used to. You get the best of both worlds without having to choose one or the other.
What we covered in this episode:
- How the Citrix DaaS and Amazon WorkSpaces Core architecture actually works under the hood
- Why this matters for organizations that are already invested in AWS but need enterprise-grade virtual desktop management
- The HDX protocol advantage over the standard WorkSpaces streaming protocol for latency-sensitive workloads
- Cost considerations and how this compares to running your own EC2 instances with Citrix
- Real-world migration scenarios from on-premises VDI to this cloud DaaS model
If you're evaluating cloud desktop options for your organization and running AWS infrastructure, this is worth a listen. As always, feel free to drop questions or comments below.
